They have 2 WPG on the standard 12 gallon, 4 WPG on the deluxe, and similar numbers on the standard and deluxed 24 gallons. Nano cubes NEED to be planted or nano-reef with the way they are set up. Otherwise algae would be a MAJOR disastor. However, WARNING, Nano-cubes are very poorly designed and have a big tendancy to break. At my fish store where I work, for every 4 cubes we sell, 2 or 3 will be returned because they cracked or just plain broke. A coworker got a deluxe 24 gallon cube, and set it up as a BEAUTIFUL reedf tank. Until it BROKE on him! About 15 gallons of saltwater went all over his computer and floor. He is now in the process of talking to JBJ and getting money for his new computer and new carpet. Its up to you if you want one or not. I love the way they are set up, and I love the way they look. The only problem is how problematic they are. HTH ~Jorge |

I do have a 12 gallon marineland acrylic which happens to be a great tank, but the lighting is only 13 watts and I don't know if it can be upped with ruining the look of the tank. My Scapes |

It gets 2 watts per gallon which is enough to grow medium light plants and maybe even some high. |
