i've been going mad about what to do with my old 40G (UK) since i dismantled it to setup the 72G.

i thought i want i complete change from a planted tank, so decided on a african tank. but looking over other peoples tank pics etc, and seeing profiles of fish, most need to be species tank for my size tank. so i'll been given an idea of a biotope!

thinking lowlight few plants South american or asian.

south american lowlight plants?
asian low light plants?

and how do i aquascape it. how does this guy keep the bogwood on the sides any ideas? i'm trying to buy a piece like his on ebay.

going to copy the disige above but instead of the rock i've going for smooth river pebbles and stones of different sizes, then i have some bogwood on the substate planted with java fern and moss, i'll also put some moss on the roots.

any ideas how to attach the roots but still have the condensation glass above the tank?

i was thinking of using small hooks (used on window blinds) screwed into the cut end of the root then hung on a wire under the glass, invisable from inside the tank.

i'm going shopping foe the roots tomorrow.

decided on normal aquaria sand - how deep if not planting into it?

i've seen leaves like in the colombian tank above at LFS, any ideas how to make them?

LFS also had some wild angels lovely about 2inches across.

That's quite a project you've got on your hands.

You can silicon the wood onto the tank. Make sure to let everything dry before using it, and let the silicon harden for a day or so.

Back in the saddle!
