My newest additions were: 2 large Ludwigia Repens- I think it is repens, the leaves start green and then turn reddish; 3 Large Limnophilia Aquatica, which looks great. I planted 2 of them in my 90g and 1 in my 25 for guppy fry to hide in. I am now looking into getting some C02 going on this big tank. I was thinking I might get 2 of the Nutrafin C02 systems that are about 30 bucks each, and putting one on each end of the tank. I know this probably wont be enough c02, but I bet it will be better than none! Heres my complete plant list now: 12-15 Wisteria Plants 2 Hygrophilia Polysperma (not doing well at all) 2 Ludwigia Repens 5 Java Fern 3 Cladophora Aegagropila (marimo balls) 5 Kyoto Grass (really cheap so can be easily replaced if it dies off 5 Vallisneria Spiralis (merged into 3 bunches) 2 Vallisneria Americana 1 Cyperus Helferi 1 Cryptocorne Crispatula var. Balansae 3 Amazon Sword 1 Huge Anubias barteri var. angustifolia I have a Dwarf Lotus Growing in my 10g which will be added, and I have 1 more Vallisneria Spiralis and 1 Microsorum pteropus 'Windeløv' coming in the mail next week. I have added 6 Nutrafin Plant Spikes to the gravel, and plan on picking up another package tomorrow. I will try to post a pic later this week If I can borrow my moms digital camera again. I placed most of the wisteria along the back of the tank to fill it in. It is still fairly short, so cant even be seen behind my huge driftwood. So what do you plant gurus think of my arrangement of plants? Is there something you think would fit in nicely with these, or something that seems to be missing? Do you think my newest plants will do ok? Come Play Yahtzee With Me! http://games.atari.com Http://www.myleague.com/yahtgames |

Great plant very pretty and easy to grow. It make a nice mid ground plant as it's not the fastest grower in the world. Sorry to hear about the Polysperma not doing well. What exactly is the problem? Usually the stuff takes over, I tried to trim mine last night it had grwing so thick I could tell where one stem started and the other finished! Finally just gave it a "haircut". Maybe let us know the syptoms. It's a good indicator plant, it will be the first to show signs of improvement if all going well and the first to show problems if there's a nutrient shortage. The Wisteria should fill out in no time. The plants on your list all look good, you should have no problems with them.Look forward to seeing some new pics ![]() I do notice most of the plants on your list will eventually grow pretty tall.Maybe you need some smaller fillers to highlight the others and the driftwwood etc.Although if you have Wendlov on the way it's very pretty and stays much smaller then the regular Java Fern. The leaf pattern makes it a good highlighter. Anyway you have plenty of time for the smaller plants. Better to see how the new plants grow out and fill the space, you may be surprised at how little room you have left. ![]() Expecting a future Aquascaping Contest winner here ![]() Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability. |
