I remember reading a thread about what the little packets were and how to make your own, but of course i didn't write it down and now i need the information and do not have it. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction? Thanks!

It was in a post started by Cory_Di, you can look for it if you want but it said that it contains activator (yeast) and stabiliser (baking soda).

1/4 tsp yeast (check the date!!!)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup of sugar

Now, I have added something else to my mixture based on an article I read by Tara Nyberg at the AGA site. I've added some soy flour (can use protein powder) and molasses. These are things that yeast eat. Also, I have found that when the nutrafin slows down, it is best to simply spill out some of the solution (gently to not disturb the bottom) and add some tank water. I dump anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2.

Tara explains in her article that when the ethanol is made from the sugar, the yeast reaction will slow once it is at 10%. By replacing just some of the water, you reduce the ethanol. I have at these times, sprinkled in a little more soy flour and molasses.

I would approximate that I used 1/4 tsp of soy flour and 1/4 tsp of molasses. The container is small so I didn't want to push it

My hagen is running better than it ever has. Each rung on the ladder has at least one bubble and I've not needed to attend to it. Prior to that, it was slowing every few days.

Here is the page I got Tara's powerpoint presentation. That is the point, you need powerpoint to view it. .
