	PETCO apon bulbs
greenfootball Fish Addict Posts: 613 Kudos: 360 Votes: 0 Registered: 23-Jul-2001	days ago, i saw at petco there are some apon bulbs for sale, sort of like the wal-mart ones, but they only put about 5 in a pack, and for 6.99. however, they say those apons are assorted, and some of the species are pretty nice. what are the chances that you'll get Aponogeton ulvaceous?? those are pretty exotic i think, and i would love to have them.

ceridwen Enthusiast Posts: 270 Kudos: 296 Votes: 0 Registered: 26-Aug-2003	I personally wouldn't buy the Petco bulbs again - I only had 1 sprout from each package I bought (I bought 3 packages) And the bulbs that did sprout are tiger lotus'. I got packages from Walmart on the other hand for $2.97 each, with about 7-8 bulbs, and I have had all of them sprout. None are uvacelous. Those are really rare plants to find in bulb packages. My LFS sells sprouting uvacelous for $12.99 EACH! (Wholesale on these is $7.99 ... pretty crazy if you ask me)
