ok i just added 2 cobombas and 2 other short leaved sword plant .i also have some other plant in the middle-back of the tank which is almost 3 months old, and i have realized that almost all its leaves are FULL OF SMALL DOT ALGEA (green)
the same algea covering my back glass, my plec and my other algea eater wont eat it.although i see them sucking on the leaves.

PROBLEM 2 ) i had 0.8WPG when i first bought a cobomba which melted into mush with-in 3 days . but in my past three months i upgraded my light to 2 strips (one 18 watt and one 10 watt), my tank is a 14.7 gallon and is at 30cm hight.

PROBLEM 3 ) i only have STEM PLANTS !!! cuz lebanon is so _________ that it does`nt have these plants which are ment to cover the stems of the larger back plants or any type of moss!! should i mail order on a student budget or hmmm just wait till my country develops

Wait till your country develops cause mail ordering will kill the plants.

How do you think the LFS gets their plants? The pony express?

If you use a reputable company and a fast shipping service, your plants should arrive in good condition.

I have the same shipping problem here, what i do is i find a LFS that has importation rights and permits, the thing is that if you place and order and international order that is, you have to have importation permits for live stock, at least in almost all countries, so they will be ship and then it will be held at customs till you can deliver the permits, which here is almost impossible, and they cost a lot of money and time. So IF you get the permit, by then your shipment will be dead, and you'll be charged for storage fees and then comes taxes.

So better safe all the trouble and go to someone that already has the importing permit and place a special order, it will be more expensive but then you'll have what you want.

They order using overnight stuff...do you think a student will be able to afford the overnight shipment?? I think not.

As for the green dot algae on your plants and glass, there is not much that can be done. It will not hurt the plants. Try making the environment less algae friendly so the plants can out compete for the nutrients.

This algae should be scraped off of the glass with a glass scrubber or a razor if you prefer.

Good luck.

Alec

P.S. Problem #2 does not really have a question stated.
