I have a New westria thats too tall for my aquarium, can i break off the roots?

I know you can cut off to tops if they get too tall but can i cut the Bottoms.

Sure you can Snip off the top part that looks the best and pull the bottom out of the gravel. Push the stem on the top part about an inch into the gravel and it will grow like normal. This can be done with just about any stem plant, and in many cases it is advisable to do so every so often.

Wisteria, in general, does not need this done to it very often. We have a few members here who are using wisteria as a carpet plant to grow along the bottom, and in their cases it is so established they haven't trimmed them in months. If it's getting too tall just do as I suggested above, and it will be fine

Using it as a carpet plant is acctually a great idea i'll try it. I have more then enough.
