Anyone able to ID this guy as a plant eater or as just an okay snail to have? I know it's a bit young still, but you can somewhat see the shell forming.

T'anks in advance .

Looks like a ramshorn snail to me.

Ramshorns are plant eaters. Probably better off removing it now and not risking it.

Yep looks like a young Ramshorn. If you got one chances are there's a quite few others lurking around. They are plant eaters, I''ve got a lot of them but have seen any serious damage to the plants. But they can make a surpirisly big mess. I'd pull it out and toss it (or you can squish it and feed to the fish they'll enjoy it) and any others you find.

I had those critters in my tank and they devoured my sunset hygros, leaving lots of holes in the leaves. I'm not sure whether even their eggs may damage the plants. Anyway, try to get rid of them asap, for me it's been too late (Although my two betta females are feasting on their slimy carcasses ).

T'anks guys, so far the only snail I like are my little MTS, and I could tell right away from the shell shape that this wasn't one of them. I'll pull him out next time I see him and toss him in the "pond" tank since I have absolutly no plans for plants in that one, although they fish might prefer a little treat .
