Hi,
Here's a little quiz for the plant gurus. I'm very new to crypts and have recently planted three of them. Here are a few pics to be identifies.

1. The one in the foreground.

2. This one is same as above except the pattern on leaves.

3. And here's the third one. I think its a crypt as well. Im talking about the plant in the middle of the picture, just behind the rock.

Plus, here's a bonus question . This one's not a crypt but i'll still like to identify it. The bright colored robust leaves are half an inch in diameter (or may be a bit more).

Thanks in advance.

1 is probably just a green crypt wendtii
2 is probably a morph of green wendtii
3 is probably crypt balansae
4 looks kinda like bacopa carolinia to me.

Just takin' quick stabs off the top of my head.

I am gonna go with Matty on the last one. It is definitly Bacomba carolinia aka Moneywart. I see enough of the stuff lying around in ditchs not to miss it. It is funny to me that this stuff is all over the place here in the panhandle of Florida, yet stores can not keep enough of it instock...HA HA HA!

Thank you both!
Matty, the third one seems to have narrower leaves than what I've seen in photoes of crypt balansae. Anyway, it has started frowing back after suffering the initial melt and i'm happy with it.
Thanks again.

I just don't know of any other crypt species with narrow leaves like that. You can search tropica's database to see if anything else fits the look of your plant.

www.tropica.com
Is a great site for finding out info on plants. It will give you PH, lighing, size, and supliments needed to have great looking plants. My 2 complaints are 1) they onky use the latin names and not common, 2) they show drawlings and not actual pics. Other than that, I visit there frequently.
Hope you find the info you need.
