I purchased this plant at the NEC convention this past weekend and I am unable to find info on it. The name was posted on the bag as a "Limnophilla Aromaticoides". Any help on the plants requirements would be appreciated.

hi,

Sounds like Limnophila aromatica. Beautiful stem plant with a nice purple color.

Not the easiest. Needs good light, co2 would help. In poor light loses it's color and leaves. In good conditions one of the most beautiful plants around.

More info here http://www.tropica.com

Yes, that is the plant, thank you. I guess I will need to move it, I put it into a 40 gallon tank with just 1 wpg and no CO2. I will move it today to my 120 gallon tank with 2.5 wpg. I am adding CO2 to this tank, an automatic system. I got everything to do it, just need to hook it all up. Hopefully I'll have it hooked up tonight and I can start running it tomorrow AM. Thank you again for your help.

Good idea. It won't last long in 1 wpg, but 2.5wpg will suit it real nice. If you want the really nice purple color make sure it's not shaded.
