Today I got an Anubias Nana for my 55 gallon planted. And I was reading your shouldnt plant them in the gravel? Or is it ok? Mine came in an ugly little pot so I took it out of the pot and planted it in the gravel. Or should I attatch it to a rock?

ye i got one of these about 6 months ago and same as yours cam in a little basket with some like wool padding round it. As i did not have a any rocks or bog wood i just stuck it in the gravel and left it. And it has come on it leaps and bounds spreding to be big and i must say my flying fox loves to sit on it. Although it looks great on rock or wood i have had no prob with it in the pravel at all but u might want to put some tablet fertize at the roots if you are going to keep it in gravel but this is not comp. hope this helps

Thank you for the reply and I am glad I can put it in the gravel as it did not look to good when I attactched it to the rock. But if it would have done better on there I would have left it but as of now it is staying in the gravel.

I have heard mixed things wheather or not it grows better in or out of the gravel.

The biggest thing is to not stick the rhizome in the gravel.
