Ok I have another thread but i want to put real plants in there before i transfer my fish to this tank Im pretty sure its a 20g tall or maybe a 15g tall I have not measured it, havnt gotten it yet but bf's sister doesnt know either due to it was left behide from a previous person who lived there. Iv only seen it a few times at her house it needs to be cleaned it has water stains on it and i think it will need light and pump so any suggestions on anything you think i might need go for it and post it.

What plants are best for this size tank?
What plants are best for this kinds of fish?
Whats kind of lighting I need?
And etc..

Link to what i want plants to be around or grow on.

To give you an idea of what you can do, I have a ten gallon tank with rotola indica, Java fern, little Java moss, an anubius nanna. I have a little HOB filter and 15W of florescent lighting and florite substrate. I have assorted tetras, a rubber lip pleco., and a scissortail rasbora.

Very low maintainance tank. Nice to look at.

As far as lighting goes...Compact fluorescent fixtures are pretty good. They are relatively inexpensive too. To get a good selection of plants you need atleast 2 watts per gallon, which would mean getting a fixture that holds 2 20w lights.
You could always grow low light plants such as crypts, anubias, java moss (i think), java fern (i think). But that selection is not as good as if you had medium light. With medium light you could have rotala indica, wisteria, dwarf sag, crypts, anubias, java mos and java fern, bacopa, and the list goes on and on.
The lighting really depends on how much you want to spend.
Wisteria is a good fast growing plant, if given enough light. Crypts are smaller and would be good for a 20 tall. Stem plants like rotala indica, bacopa caroliniana, ludwigia repens grow pretty fast under medium light and need regular cutting. If you can find an Anubias Nana Petite then it would be perfect for your tank. Also, Dwarf Saggittaria is a good foreground plant that stays pretty short.

Ok I got the tank and I have measured it Im really sure its a 20g tall but heres the measurements >> 20 1/4 inches, tall 20 inches long 10 1/4 inches wide. and man was it DIRTY ]:| i used a razor blade to get the alot off of it but some just wouldnt come off i used vinagir << (cant spell) on it but i felled it up and it looks good just need to get some other things for it and im done. oh yeah i have other threads about the decorations iv decides to put fake plants in there due to i cant find any live ones near here and the nearest place is to far and i dont have a auto right now due to problems with it. i kinda like the fake better anyways, better to manage i think. and for the stocking Im going to put 3 more albino corys in there and may one more labyrinth fish. and for the 10g not sure yet im not really into tetras. i really would like colorful and a little lively fish and no hiders. was thinking maybe a betta.

Like you, I don't have any LFS that have good quality real plants. You could always order online. I usually order from http://www.aquaticplantdepot.com]http://www.aquaticplantdepot.com[/link]. The plants are always healthy and their prices are good. Shipping is $10.00 no matter what you order. I am ordering plants for my 29g from [link=http://www.floridadriftwood.com. They have a better selection, but slightly higher prices.
You could always just have low maintainance plants like java fern, anubias, and crypts...all you have to do is arrange them and watch them grow. They only need low light.

edit: According to the tank calculator on here...you have an 18g tank...close to 20 tall.
