I have a 10 gallon tank up in my bedroom, and I need some ideas for plants to put in it. There are three swords, a molly, a tetra, and a betta fish in it at the moment, but I'm considering adding some more fish later, as well, the pet store guy said I ahd room for 10 in that tank, though I don't completely trust him. -cough-

what lighting setup do you have? We have to know how many watts you are running before we can help you with what plants to get.

Well, the bulbs usually say how many watts they are. Is it a fluorescent bulb (long tube) or a/two incandescent bulbs ("normal" bulbous bulbs)?

get Aponogeton Bulbs from walmart. they are nice looking plants. all u have to do is plant the bulb under gravel or leave it on the gravel. Thay are cheap and in my opinion look very nice. they take 3 days to sprout

sry cant comment on the plants but..
but I'm considering adding some more fish later, as well, the pet store guy said I ahd room for 10 in that tank, though I don't completely trust him. -
I personally would not add more, 10 in a tank well yes,if its the same species.Move the betta form there, you say you are taking the others back, that poor tetra needs a school to be happy..
look where my Tiger barb is,the fish all do ok but some days hes a pain, he would not be so agressive if he was in a school, possibly out of that tank all together..

Crypts are always the best for smaller tanks. Wendtii, Balansae, Lutea and Undulata would be a nice mix. Different leaf colours and shapes.

Java Fern, Anubias and African Water fern. Are even easier, like the above plants, light requirements are low, but more light, means quicker the growth rate.
