I have tried to research the lighting issue and I am just literally exhausted now. The more I read, the more confused I get.

I have read about retrofitting, power compact, compact flourescent, flourescent, melting, ...

To begin, I am not sure if I know of anyone who can retrofit my hood. When I retrofit, am I retrofitting into my current hood? I have the All-Glass Deluxe Full Hood that came with it.

What is the difference between getting the following lighting in my tank?

What is the difference between the compact flourescent lighting and the flourescent lighting? Am I correct in assuming that I will need to purchase a Versa-top (glass cover) to go with these products?

Since I have a 20H, I am thinking the higher the wattage the better...maybe some light will reach the bottom....

Has anyone seen the following:

How much work is involved in this? Does it match with an oak trim?

I would appreciate someone explainging my options along with dis/advantages and cost. I just feel as though I am putting in so many hours of research but I am coming up with nothing but confusion.

I realize that my links are not working right now but for whatever reason, I am unable to edit. I will fix the links as soon as I stop getting a timeout error.

All-Glass makes good products overall. I would choose the compact fluourescent since you have a tall tank and the light would penetrate deeper better.
