It probably would kill more sensitive plants and using it at full dose or any longer would definitely kill a few off.

If so (would anybody please verify this?), and if your Ich (I assume that’s why you use it) outbreak is not too bad yet, I would suggest that you use it only every other day for 2 weeks straight. On days between usages, perform a 20% water change. If you have sensitive tetras (i.e. Neons), reduce the dose to a 1/4 of the suggested dosage for normal, unplanted tanks.
