Yes, technically it will help. But, I'm sure you've also learned that at one time the only way to deal with a bad tooth was to have the thing yanked out with a pair of pliers. The way to deal with a bad wound on the leg was to cut it off with a saw. No pain killers, no anesthesia. Salt was used before ich medications were popular and easily available and often resulted in killing the fish along with killing the ich. There is no reason to add salt to the tank. Don't kill your fish and plants just because of something you heard. ^_^ |
