if they have a cone shaped shell, or a trap door to cover the shell opening, they are very good. otherwise you should think about getting rid of them

As moondog said, there are good snails and bad snails. If these are not as he described, then you can take a plate with some lettuce on it to collect them. I would avoid using any chemical products like RidSnail as it will also harm the good bacteria in your tank. Hope this helps. I have personally never used the pennies method, so I will let someone who has experience with it describe it for you.

I think they are the Pond Snails... Ive seen 5 today
Can i use a zipper loach to rid the tank of the snails and if any eggs? and when the loach is done eating for a few days i can put it in my 72 gallon community (nice fish) tank... ? good idea? will that work?

any snail treatment should last at least a month to make sure you get all the snail eggs that have yet to hatch. i know some people on here always suggest the lettuce trick, but if you have too many snails then you should put some pennies in your filter to get rid of them for good. if your loach eats snails, then just leave it in there for about a month until you see no more baby snails crawling around your tank.
