Just thought I'd share my experience to those still "finishing up" the activator and stabilizer packets that came with there Hagen natural system. I used the packets for 2 weeks and was getting a bubble every 15-20 seconds on my 7 gallon planted tank. I decided to toss it and try the "DIY Recipe" of filling up to the line with sugar, then adding 1 teaspoon baking soda, about 1/4 teaspoon dry activatedyeast and filling up to the second line with warm water, then shaking. Well I tryed this last night and thismorning, im getting a bubble every 4-5 seconds thats TINY by the time it reaches the top of my ladder!!! For those who need more bubbles out of their Hagen systems this is really the way to go! Plus its only like 50 cents worth mix every time unlike the expensive hagen packets

I agree, mixing your own CO2 is the way to go. I can't believe I ever paid what I did for those packets..
