When they are provided with suitable conditions they fourish to such an entent we can see them grow. There's no way to eliminate them (they've been here a lot longer then we have), we can control them by keeping conditions that are advantageous to the higher life forms like plants. Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability. |

bensaf Fish Master Posts: 1978 Kudos: 1315 Registered: 08-Apr-2004 | Briefly ensuring the nutrients required for healthy robust growth are available at all times along with sufficient light. Light should be in 2 -3 wpg range 10-11 hours a day. Nitrates 10-20ppm Phosphate 1-2ppm Potassium 10-20ppm GH >3dgh(this basically Calcium and Magnesium) A decent liquid micro fert. Plenty of Co2. Lots of plants. Moderate fish load. Follow that guideline and algae won't be a problem Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability. |
