	Starting Over
tetratech Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 4241 Kudos: 1074 Registered: 04-Nov-2003	O.K. I'm pretty sure this is o.k. but just want to make sure. I could put my plants in before I start filter and dechlorinate. I'd rather start planting before the tank si completely filled. I plan on starting filter lateer tonite. My Scapes

I guess I start off with all guns blazing from the get go. On my 46gallon any recommendation for starting bubble rate w/pressurized. My Scapes

bensaf Fish Master Posts: 1978 Kudos: 1315 Registered: 08-Apr-2004	Start at one bubble per sec and work your way up. Check the the pH every couple of hours to measure the drop. Work up to 2-3 bubbles a sec. If you know your KH you should have a target pH. Keep adjusting til you get it where you want. It can be a bit fiddly at first. Once it's dialed in where you want it, resist the tempation to fiddle with the needle valve, it can be a bugger to reset. Some days you're the pigeon and some days you're the statue. Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability.
