I have an 80 gallon with 4 piranhas (who dart around and blow weak plants away) with 80 watts of light. I had Vals, Amazon Sword, Cabomba, Java Fern and Myrio. They destroyed the Cabomba and the Myrio. The swords were struggling since there is no CO2 or extra ferts (piranhas pollute enough lol) but the Vals were doing well and the Java Fern grows in anything. The Cabomba was surprinsigly growing well and the Myrio wasnt doing much of anything. So anwyays, what low light, fast growing plants (preferably stem plants) would work? I'm gonna add more Vals and Java Fern and was thnking maybe Water Wisteria also.. any suggestions?

I'd try some ludwigia repens, hornwort, or anubias nana. Hornwort could float, or somehow be tied down and will likely outgrow any damage done to it. Ludwigia repens is an average growing stem plant. Anubias nana, IME, are built like tanks as long as they aren't consumed by algea.

Not sure I'd suggest hornwort even as a floating plant. IME it gets torn up too easily and in such an active tank is likely to just end up in the filter....but might be worth a try since it is a low light as well as a good consumer of nitrATes.

Java fern is my vote.

EDIT: You might also look into Hygrophila polysperma ....if you can get it established it's a fast grower and can handle lower light. Should be able to grow even with active fish in the tank.
