Well it's a 29 gallon tank and I'm pretty sure what the stock is going to be.

2 Blue Rams (pair)
6 Scwartzi Cory's
10 Cardinal tetras

But I am not sure how I want the tank to look.

I drew a mediocre diagram of what I think might look good, but I'm not sure.

Any suggestions?

I think it's fine. Big Plants, at the back & low small Plants, up front.
You can also attach some Plants with the Driftwood.

Any recommendations on substrate?...are any of the plants I have chosen delicate or difficult to take care of?

I was thinking of mixing 3/4 of an inch of sand and small, dark pea gravel over top of about a quarter of an inch of eco complete. Sound good?

[edit] by the way I think maybe we should start having plant profiles soon

Sand is not very good for plant roots, as it compact & crush the roots.
Small pebbles are better.

Ah ok, could I sprinkle sand over the pebbles to give it the sandy look, but still make it good for plants roots?

Yes, you can, but eventually the sand will finish at the bottom & the pebbles on top. The sand will pass through the space of the pebbles.

Ah ok. Thanks

Anyone else who knows a lot about plants want to jump in and fill me in on how to keep these plants? i.e, lighting, CO2 required or not? Stuff like that

Thanks
