Cheap, quick, and easy would be nice! ![]() Right now all I have is a 30 gallon with 6 cherry barbs, 4 zebra loaches, and two very busy SAEs (no algae problems since I got them.). For plants, I have Hygro polysperma, Ceratopteris, a small Nymphaea sp., and a few crypts. I'm only moving an hour or so away, so long distance or time isn't an issue. Thanks, Carl |

The best way is to go to your local hardware store and buy a few giant rubbermade tubs and keep all your water and put your fish in different containers (not the huge ones). Also, make sure you do not feed your fish for at least 24 hours before the move. Furthermore, take everything out of the tank, but try to keep the gravel and filter material wet so the beneficial bacteria does not die. Good Luck! ![]() ![]() |

The smaller tanks went with the substrate still in them. For the larger tanks the substrate went in a tub with tank water and filter media. Fish went in tubs with tank water and the plants, I figured that would give them some security and hiding places. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

I would pick out all plant of one variety and perhaps tie them in a bundle with hemp twine, or elastic band them. That way you can easily remove a bunch and its all one type of plant, without tearing leaves and stems. You could also lay a peice of plastic between la Come Play Yahtzee With Me! http://games.atari.com Http://www.myleague.com/yahtgames |

After all have been bagged, place all bags ina black trash bag, these will help with the stress factor a lot! When i moved mine, all the tanks even the 45G and the 20G came with the substrate and filters in a small amount of water. I never kept all the water from the tanks, i just made sure filters where wet all the time and filled up with new water and had no problems at all. Good luck ![]() |
