My sag get alot of hairy algae strands on it.
What is the best way to trim. Looks like I should just remove the entire leave to the base. If you cut in the middle I guess the entire leaf will die.

Tetratech,

You got it right. With Sags you need to cut the entire leaf off at the base. If you just cut part of the leaf the rest will just die off anyway.

Is it better to cut off the really long ones to get new leaves to form. Some of these are at least 2 feet long.
