Hi,

Firstly, I like to say that Birstall are really good. I usually order form them and I've never been disappointed with their plants. The reason why they are more expensive than others is that their plants are Tropica plants and they always come in excellent condition. Their delivery charge used to be waived for orders over £15 so it's a bit of a shame they raised this to £30 now, but I still do recommend them. You will also find that some plants can probably only be sourced through them (like Microsorum pteropus "Tropica".

Another online plant retailer in the UK is Greenline which has cheaper plants but doesn't have everything Birstall have (but has things they don't, on the other hand...). Although I prefer the Birstall plants, his plants are very good too.

Another option is to write an email to AquaEssentials and send them the list of plants you want and ask them if they can help you source it and how much would they be. Although they don't usually deal with plants I know that they might be able to help you.

The last option that I know of is Java Plants who are the cheapest but surely won't have everything on your list. I personally don't like them and don't order from them but I'm a little picky when it comes to my plants, but I know that many others think they're okay.

One side note, though. The Java Fern "Tropica" is hard to find and will always be expensive as anyone who wants to grow them commercially has to ask for permission from Tropica.

Hope this helps.
