Does flourite (flouride you can tell I am new to the hobby) cloud water in fish tanks? I heard that it does. . .is that true?

Fish are like potato chips. . .you can't have just one

If you do not rinse it properly it will temporarily cloud fish tank water. Fourite in particular needs to be rinsed more thouroughly than most substrates. IMO you can probably cut down on the amount of cloudiness given off by flourite (and any substrate that isn't inert for that matter) by gently filling the tank up without directly hitting the substrate with a big gush of water.
