A friend of mine works at an LFS and gets to take home any plants that look even marginally unhealthy. So to celebrate my new lighting she gave me some camboba, some assorted cryptlets (baby crypts) some long grassy stuff (looks like some kind of Vallisneria) and she gave me a jade tiger lotus out of her personal stash.

I've already got some crypts and anubias, but this should realy give me some nice diversity. I've got more light than I need for the crypts (running 3.5 WPG on a 90 gallon tank) so I'll probably ultimately move them into the shade of the lotus.

Once they start to get healthier I'll probably start moving them around. I'm no master aquascaper so right now they are just kind of scattered. I may post pics if they ever look presentable enough for me :-)

Anyway, I've still got a few bare spots that I want to fill in and I've still got to fine-tune my fert balance and I've still got to decide whether or not to do CO2, but it's starting to come together now. The new lights should make a huge difference.
