Okay, I'll kep it simple

10 gallons

Ludwigia, vals, bacopa, hornwort

15 watt phillips bulb

labelled as "great for aquaria"

is this sufficient, or do I need to go back to the store?

1.5 wpg. The plants you listed are not exactly light hungry, all moderate light plants. I've had Bacopa, Ludwigia and Vals in similar lighting and all did ok. They won't be busting out of your tank but should grow ok.

The Val might bust out of your tank if it's a Straight Val.. Watch that Val !

spend a couple of bucks on an incandescent light and get 2 screw in compact fluroescent bulbs. you could get 2 19 watt bulbs and have almost 4 wpg. then go buy the hagen co2 system or make your own and some nice fertilizer tabs and your plants will out grow your whole room.

Thanks, but I'm trying to keep the lighting at a minimum--as well as the plantage. They're mostly just hiding areas for the Hyancistrus Zebra I plan to add into it.
