VERY carpet/grass-like. See a picture of it [link=here.]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Planted%20Aquaria/52902_2.html?200502130832" style="COLOR: #00FFFF[/link] Critical Fertilator: The Micromanager of Macronutrients |

Relatively easy to grow. (your mileage may vary) Grassy looking. Inexpensive. Does not need a lot of light. -Wayne |

As long as it's not outrageous it would be cool. I haven't quite filled in the front yet so it may be a couple more weeks before I have to start taking some out. We'll see if I can keep it in good shape until then. Critical Fertilator: The Micromanager of Macronutrients |

The 5 or 6 pots that I bought (day 5 pic) Turned into a full out carpet in just a few weeks (day41 pic). I'd call that fast. There are more runners sprouting from those things than I care to count. I'm about ready to start taking some from my tank back to the lfs. Critical Fertilator: The Micromanager of Macronutrients |

I got mine in pretty good shape in pots for 3 bucks a pot. My lfs is pretty reasonable I think. Good luck! Critical Fertilator: The Micromanager of Macronutrients |

I don't remember the requirements for acorus plants, but I do remember them being pretty hardy when I had them. |

I have grown water onion (Crinum thaianum)in low light and I've heard dwarf onion (Zephyranthes candida) grows in low light but I haven't been able to find any yet. dwarf onion: [link=http://www.azgardens.com/images/9root8.jpg]http://www.azgardens.com/images/9root8.jpg" style="COLOR: #00C0C0[/link] common water onion: [link=http://www.azgardens.com/images/5root3.jpg]http://www.azgardens.com/images/5root3.jpg" style="COLOR: #00C0C0[/link] |
