I just went to the aquariumplants site and it said to leave 1.5in clearance above the co2 tank and the 5 lb tank I'm looking at is 14 inches. moondog   Moderator The Hobnob-lin Posts: 2676 Kudos: 1038 Votes: 4366 Registered: 30-Sep-2002 | i'm pretty sure you can sit the tank at a slight angle if you need to. co2 is a relatively inert gas, there's no acetone or other chemicals in the tank that will eat away the washers like other gases. otherwise you can stand it next to the tank if you have room for it there.
