anybody use a fert called plant tabs.

my lfs had these and another brand but there was like a 5 dollar difference but they seemed to be roughly the same thing.

there are 11-15-20 and say it contains

nitrogen, phosphoric acid and potash.

think these are any good, only cost me 2 dollars for 50 tabs.

hmm i saw those before, what size are thr tabs? and what color? if they are white/grey, then i think i have the same kind, and they are really just OK. i think for plant ferts, good ones are usually dark brown, dark green... i can be very wrong, i am planning on investing more bucks in some good tabs when i run out. so let me know how they work

I use TetraPond Lily Gro fert tabs. 10-14-8. I break them into a few pieces, stick a piece down by the roots.

Here's what it did, made a Straight Val grow 8 inches and sprout a 6 inch runner in a month, in a 1 wpg tank...
(no flourite either) It had to be removed as it was blocking the light to the other plants. I have wild Jungle Vals in there now which are smaller and will suit the tank better. (I hope !) Made one of them grow 4 inches already. Fert tabs really help if you don't have flourite..

If they are the ones from Aquarium Pharmeceuticals which contain iron, I've used them before with success. As long as they aren't over-used or disturbed, I'm sure they'll do fine. You'll still want to use a trace fertilizer though, such as Tropica Mastergrow, because if I remember right those fert tabs are mostly just macro fertilizers ( as most fert tablets are).

I'd be careful. The cheaper plants tabs are they definately for aquarium use ?

Nitrogen, Phosphoric acid and Potash sound like a algae smorgasborg - bury those tabs very very well.

they are by aquarium products, the tablets are about dime size in diameter and about a 1/4 inch thick, the tablets are a gray color.
