Hi, ive got 2 questions to ask if I may.

Firstly regarding Eleocharis Vivipara. Now being a grass type plant can i just cut it shorter and if so will this help it to spread out as i would like it to cover the bottom of some of the tank.

Also do fish like co2 being added to the water as well - coz i set up a 2litre bottle sugar yeast ect and put the airline onto the top of my fluval3 filter to help disolve in water. Anyway left it over night as I was away last night. Come back today and not only do the plants seem to look a bit more vibrant allready but all the colours of the fish seem to be better aswell ?? So wondering if co2 helps fish as well?

Thanks

wow, just 1 night? that makes me wanna make one for my tank.

anybody know if i use the DIY method and quit after i get tired of making the mix, that'll raise my pH again and this kinda dramatic change isnt good right? so if i decide to do it, i should do it FOREVER? sounds like a lot to ask for me

alfie the fish shouldn't car about the CO2 at least as long as it stays below 25Pppm. i think the fish look better becuase the plants look better . hard to understand but "healthy plants=healthy fish" not sure how the relationship works but it does. ^ ^ as for cutting the eleocharis i don't know i have never had to trim my Eleocharis acicularis, and it makes a nice carpet and has satyed short (no leaves exceeding 3"
