if i were to leave the plants in the tank, would it grow. i have heard alot of people say that just leave it in there and a few months it will be big. i think i have java ferns and java moss.

Java fern and moss are both IME slow growing plants. Even recieving CO2 injections my java grows rather slowly. Don't expect it to take over your tank in only a few months.
How much light, how long is it on, and what's the stocking in the tank?

i am not sure if it is a java fern, but some kind of fern. n.e way the fishes are neons and cardnial. and the tank gets sunlight 1-2 hours and the tank light 4-6 hr/day
