Mets are herbivorous. Attempting to halt their plant eating tendencies is akin to preventing a lion from eating meat. Last edited by Cup_of_Lifenoodles at 21-May-2005 15:52 |

Java Ferns, like I said in my first post, are distasteful and few fish will bother them. The best thing to do would be to just aquascape your tank with Java Ferns (both common and lace varieties) and Anubias species (there are many and all have very tough foliage). If you do this, you must provide your fish with fresh vegatables since they won't have any aquarium plants to eat. ![]() I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

Most of the leaves have holes and turning brown. Could it be snails because I only two or three very small ones in the tank. tank has: tiger barbs, gouramis, angelfish, red tailed shark and hoplo catfish (30g) |

If you put in lots of plants they can nibble and sample various ones without completely killing any. If you add just 2-3 at a time they are going to eat them down to nothing. |
