pretty soon im planting my 10 and 20g with some easy plants. uppon recomendation by tryst i am buying some dry chemicals to make my own ferts. this is my first time doing this so i will need your help. anyays over my 10g i have a 15w 18" fluo bulb.i will be plamting it with jva moss,green wewndtii crypts,anubias nan,nana petite,petchii crypt(just a small version of becketii)no c02. in the 20g will be anubias afzeli,some vals asiatica,some sags and a couple o crypts. there will be 2 18" 15w bulbs over it.
now to show you my hypothetic formula-1 part micro nutrient mix-i part mono pottasium phosphate-1 part pottasium nitrate-1 part pottasium sulfate. how does thi sound?i also would like to know what ammount of mix i should add to a liter of water to make my dosing mix and how much i should dose my 10gallons. thanks

With your plants and lights, I would start off with not adding anything at all and monitoring the plants to see if they need anything. Usually there will be enough nutrients in the water from fish food and waste to keep them going.

As for preparing your liquid fertilisers you can use Chuck's Calculator, but it might be easier to add them dry. A pinch once a week should be alright to begin with and then see if your plants require more.

I would also not use the pottasium sulphate unless your plants clearly require it as I found lately that too much pottasium is detrimental for the plants.
