About four weeks ago I decided that I was going to give making a yeast reaction system for my plants. The results are rediculous. (I am still in the stone age and I dont have a digital camera) so I cant share pictures, but I made it simply out of a two liter bottle filled with a liter and a half of water and about a cup and a half of sugar. Then one packet of highly active bakers yeast and there you have it. Within 15 minutes it was putting out co2. I know some of you are probably curious what I am using for a diffuser. The answer to that is nothing. Because its in a ten gallon. My ph never budged. Oh yeah and I haven't smelled a thing.....yet. The rhizome on my microsoreum has grown about 1.5cm in a week! Hydrocotyle leucocephala a cm per day! I have a lot of luck with plants to begin with, but this is downright miraculous. So the purpose for me writting this is to let everyone who is teatering on the edge of wondering if they should try it out.....go for it.

Congrats on the sucess bionixx !
I was amazed to find that my java fern was the one plant that showed the most benafit from DIY CO2...I'd have thought that the wisteria or rotala might show more growth....
