Is this for FW or SW?

If FW planted, there has been some reports of actinic causing excessive algae growth in the tank, never had them myself so can't confirm that. If it is a planted than 6700K is what you're looking for IMO. If it's non planted anything will work pretty much.

You must be looking at the saltwater ballasts. Ask your LFS where they keep the freshwater ones.

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

10,000k works fine but change out the actinic if you want full light on the tank. Plants can't use that much blue light by itself. To some people the 10,000k bulbs look blue but I think they look more white than the 6,700k. The plants can use both and I've had no problems using actinics and 10,000k on planted tanks except the actinics count for less light.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7710601517&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Fsatitle%3D7710601517%26catref%3DC3%26from%3DR2%26fvi%3D1. Im going with the matching either 6500k or 6700, any sugestions on particular light listed in available bulbs, should all the bulbs be matching or can i get different ones?

Donky,

You might want to take a look at [link=This Thread]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/General%20Freshwater/63644.html?200509040440" style="COLOR: #ff6633[/link] where I talk about the same lighting system.

Donky,

Yup, that's a nice light. I bought the single strip 30" 65W unit and so far I love it.

I checked and your offer is $16 cheaper than Big Al's so the price is good (shipping is a little more though). If you believe the vendor is reliable, go for it.

I would recomment that you get the legs for the unit as it tends to get pretty hot and I would worry about the heat on the glass top (you have a glass top, don't you?) and the air circulation inside the lamp.

Hope this helps,

Ingo

EDIT: WOW - DID YOU SEE THIS?

Yup PCs.

No, I don't see a difference, except that you can place a bid on the second one.

And again, just to make sure, you have a glass top, right?

Ingo

And get the legs too (they are not included in either or)

Have you checked Aquarium Hobbyist Supply (http://www.ahsupply.com/)? I've got several sets from them...if you don't mind a little do it yourself work. I've installed 5 sets, the latest was the 2 x 55w (6700K). Holds 2 21" compact fluorescent bulbs. The reflector they use really helps increase the light that goes into the tank. you can see them in use here: http://community.webshots.com/user/jimbo662
go to the South African cichlid album and check the photos at the end.
