Okay, so far I have gotten some basic plastic mesh and i've ordered both some java moss and "christmas moss" and plan on making a moss wall in my 30 gallon fish tank. does anyone have any suggestions for making one, and if so, are there any strict maintence plans that i could follow to take care of it?

also, any special bedding, right now i just have polished natural pebbles for stones in the bottom.

thanks!
Chelle

chelaine,

Sham created a similar post not too long ago, here is The Link in case you haven’t seen it yet.

Regarding your substrate question, are you planning on adding other plants to your tank that would be anchored in the substrate? If so, which ones do you have on your mind? Various plants receive at least some of their nutrients from the substrate.

How big are the “polished natural pebbles” that you mentioned? If they are too big then you could have problems with your plants anchoring themselves and they might float back up.

it looks just like colored gravel would, size-wise, but the stones are just natural looking, as for plants, i have a bunch of natural plants, i've bought em all from either PETCO or PETSMART, and i have no idea what they're called. but yes, essentially, i do want to have an all plant kind of look in that tank.
