mvicano![]() Fingerling Posts: 41 Kudos: 27 Votes: 0 Registered: 26-May-2004 ![]() ![]() | ive already decided for my new 20g im gonna try out sand for the first time... what i want is to have a very NATURAL looking tank with sand bottom, nice rocks and driftwood, and about 4 or 5 leafy plants... but ive heard sand compacts very tight causing stress on plants' roots and eventually killing them........so does anyone know of ...or have a sand bottom with nice looking plants that dont require high lighting ![]() ![]() |

If it's only about an inch or so, enough to properly cover the appropriate part of the plant it would not be a problem. Some plants can do well in sand, look for ones that say they grow well in fine gravel. |
