Ok I'm not sure if this is possible but are there any plants that will do well in... .6wpg?

The usual suspects of anubias, moss and java fern should work fine.

What he said above is good and I have had good luck with amazon swords in low light though sometimes it works and other times it dies.

Dwarf Hygrophila (Hygrophila polysperma) could work. I have it in 1.2 wpg and it grows quickly.

Floating plants too such as hornwort & water lettuce.

Depending on your lights, it might not be hard to upgrade..
How many gal is your tank ? Are the lights tube or screw in ?

6 wpg is that still low light I have on average no more than 2 wpg well 7 on the 2.5but other than the small tanks it's way low, less than 1.5 wpg on most

Anacharis, and java moss do great in very low lightin the 2.5 gallon the anacharis takes over heidi

sorry about that. the periods could be confusing. It's .6wpg.
My tank is a 30 gal and its got a 1-tube fixture that came with it.

So I'll try some anubias, java ferns, cryptocorne, and maybe anarchis?

I was growing some walmart aponogeton bulbs in about 1wpg. They tended to grow pretty tall and not very bushy though. It worked good for planting the back corners but wouldn't look good standing by itself in the open.

I started with 0.6 watts per gallon when I set my tank up last year, and I had planted Anubias hastifolia, Anacharis, and Cryptocoryne wendtii, none of which did very well with that small amount of light.

Out of all those plants, though, the Crypts did the best!

As soon as you can, I would upgrade to higher light, at least 2 wpg. I did that a few months back, and my Crypts are still alive and thriving today.

Good luck to you.

All best,
Joe
