Absolutely no reason to let them grow in another tank. Plants grow constantly and will always need some trimming shaping and maintenance. Just think about it - if you place them in a tank they will start to root and settle. As soon as this is achieved you would take them out again and the whole procedure would start anew. That is not favoring healthy plant growth. If your plants get too big in their destination tanks you can still take some of them out and place them in a “new” plant tank.
