I'd recommend sunset hygro for a fast growing plant. They get red in high light and will likely take out any excess nutrients for you. They will get tall, so they would be a good backround plant. Rotala indica is also a good fast grower that gets red in high light. I'm also a big fan of crypt wendtii and would most species would be a good mid/backround plant in a 20G.

Hi,

With that set up, any plant!! ina 20G i would just stay away from the large species of swords, they will take over it. But there are many options like Cabomba green yellow or magenta, Dwarf Helzine would be a great option for the tank size and it's a fast grower.

Brazilian Pennywort (Hydrocotyle Leucocephala)
Guiana Hygrophila (Hygrophila Guianensis)
Dwarf Hygrophila (Hygrophila Polysperma)
Ludwigia Brevipes (Ludwigia Brevipes)
Brazilian Milfoil (Miriophyllum Aquaticum)
Dwarf Rotala (Rotala Rotundifolia)
Alternanthera rosaefolia (Alternanthera Reineckii)
Star Rotala (Eusteralis Stellata)
Red Tiger Lotus (Nymphaea Lotus var. Rubra) just trim the floating leaves to keep it short

Those are just a few, but depends on your taste and how you want your tank to look.
