highjinx![]() Hobbyist Posts: 108 Kudos: 96 Votes: 2 Registered: 16-Jul-2004 ![]() ![]() | I was thinking of making my own Co2 set up using 20oz Co2 paint ball tanks... could someone give me the run down of the purpose of each of the parts in the Co2 rigs out there? thus far I know I need the Co2 tank... pressure valve and... well that is about all I understand thus far. try to explain so that I can understand the whole process from Co2 tank to aquarium as best as possible please. thank you, Dustin |

eureka red![]() Hobbyist Posts: 86 Kudos: 95 Votes: 0 Registered: 04-Apr-2004 ![]() ![]() | Hey Man, i have just bought my first co2 setup for my 70g tank. what i purchased was a regulator $150.00 which hookes up to co2 bottle, Diffusor Tunze $50.00 that hookes up to the co2 and has a pump in it which releases the co2 into your tank, or you can buy a reactor which hookes up to canister filters externally depending on what filters system you have and then you would need a bubble counter $50.00 which is hooked up between the bottle and the diffusor, that counts the bubbles per sec, you should have 1 bubble per sec in term will give you about 15 - 20ppm of co2 in your tank if your ph is around 6.8 and your kh is about 4 tim |
