i have tried crypt wendtii in there and it got too tall for the tank, so i'm looking for a plant that i can put in my 10g that has a decent root system and won't get too tall.

edit: forgot to mention 1.5wpg with gravel substrate

Sag. subulata "dwarf", tellenus, and chain swords come to mind; most heavily rooted plants tend to be too large for a ten gallon.

Dwarf Sag ?

Could try smaller crypts like Parva, but that may actually be too small. I have Willisi with Wendtii and the Willisi seems to stay a fair bit smaller.

Echnidorous Parviforus "Tropica" will stay small.

I'm leaving out Anubias, I know you already have some so you may have discounted them already.

i've got dwarf sag already, but i'm looking for something else to go alongside it. i do have anubias already, but i have the giant version, and it's taken over one corner of my 50g, i'd hate to think what would happen in the 10 if it grew like that

Anubias barteri v. nana perhaps? or coffeefolia? They stay pretty short -coffeefolia is also good because, while it does stay shorter than other anubias variations, it will kind of grow "out", so it's not a thin little plant.

Crypt Becketti... I've only had mine a few months, but the thing is tiny in my 10g.
