	something nibbling my tallest aponogeton
crazyred Fish Addict LAZY and I don't care :D Posts: 575 Kudos: 360 Votes: 293 Registered: 26-Aug-2005	Okay, in my 30 I have: 3 platies, 6 cherry barbs, 10 harley rasboras, 1 opaline gourami, and 1 pleco. Something is nibbling the crap out of my tallest aponogeton leaf (it's almost munched all the way down to the rib]:\|). I haven't been able to catch the perpetrator. Megil TelZeke Fish Addict Posts: 863 Kudos: 890 Votes: 393 Registered: 21-Jul-2003	My guess would be the barbs or the pleco. or if its the tallest leaves they could simply be dieing off.... as to stopping the nibbling kind of hard to say you could try feeding them lettuce or some other beggie so that they get the plant nutrients, that should discourage further nibbling. Gouramis are quite omnivorous and will eat long strings of algae or soft plants. Platies also won't turn down an easy plant meal. If it's the top of the plants then it isn't likely to be the pleco.
