How well do plants do under blue light? I like my blue tank(40w actinic, 40w aqua-glo) but I want more plants and more plant growth. For $10 I can double my lighting shoplights on sale. I don't want high lumens and I want to keep it somewhat blue. My boyfriend says it's relaxing and the congo tetras blue and red colors are really amazing compared to the 5500k lights I had. So I'm not sure what to add. The purple/pink plant lights? How bright would 40w of 10,000k look? Also what plants should I add and a good place to order them since I rarely find much good here? I have those mysterious walmart apongeton that are attempting to take over, java fern, walmart lillies(dwarf and regular), wendtii 1red/1green/1brown, hairgrass and some dwarf hairgrass.

Plants will mainly use red and blue spectrums. So I don't believe it will be too detrimental to the health of your plants, though I think a mix with a full spectrum bulb would be beneficial.
