Hello, long time no see, its been about a year and a half since i had to move and get rid of my 55 gal, but now i have a 75 gal that's already up and running. my question is "is it possible to change or add subtrate to a set up system?" i have regualr gravel and i want to start using plants, i got the tank with 3 rather large amazon swords so that's my start. thanx!

Yes it's entirely possible. Adding substrate is alot easier and you might want to just leave it since you have alot of good nutrients in the mulm for the plants as it is.

If you add, add small portions @a time so that you dont' burry your old substrate causing bacteria loss.

If you change substrate compleatly, save as much of the old and place it in shallow containers for a few weeks while the new substrate builds it's bacteria. Panty hose hanging near the filter filled with old gravel has also been used.
