well, i have 3 tubes on my tank now, 2wpg, and people get like 5 wpg tanks, how do you do it? i have no room for them. so i thought... can i increase the lights intensity by using mirrors as my tank background, same with the side glasses? any of you tried that? would my fish freak out?

Usually there is no need or use for mirrors it won't increse your light, it will only reflect it and as you know, plants don't "feed" on reflected light, a good reflector would be just paint the light chamber with white, or use a reflecting canopy. if you use side mirrors on the tank your wish will freak out, since they are used on getting their light from above,

I would recomend you to stay a while with your new light set and try new plants and see how they work for you, i'm sure you would be able to grow them with no problem, if you don't then you can start thinking in other options.
