cjp![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hobbyist Posts: 145 Kudos: 43 Votes: 0 Registered: 22-Jan-2001 | What is the difference between seachem flourish and flourish excel?My plants are anubias and java ferns,with a few crypts.Right now I'm not adding anything,but with a tank full of anubias,there's not alot going on in terms of fast growth,that is normal.My hornsworth is going crazy,but that is normal.Also no co2 added.Any thoughts on which one to use? |

It contains mostly micronutrients (e.g. iron) that plants need for good growth (think vitamins & minerals). Flourish Excel is a CO2 substitute that aids in the photosynthesis process (plants uses light to convert CO2 into complex carbons) - think food. You'd benefit by using both in combination. Java ferns, crypts and anubias are relatively slow growing. I just picked up some Flourish Excel myself and now adding to my 'mosstainers' with an eyedropper.
