I *think* you can get rid of these with the pluck of a tweezer...but I'd let someone else confirm that before trying, because I can't remember who told me that advice. Aiptasia usually look cute and harmless, but you should get them outta your tank asap. What size is it and what do you keep? FOWLR or reef? -Ferret -Formerly known as the Ferretfish |

As Ferret mentioned, there are pest anemones that you will not want in your aquarium.. Could you please post a desc You can also check this article and see if the picture is similar to what you have: [link=http://www.wetwebmedia.com/marine/inverts/cnidaria/anthozoa/aiptasia/aiptasia.htm]http://www.wetwebmedia.com/marine/inverts/cnidaria/anthozoa/aiptasia/aiptasia.htm" style="COLOR: #ffe303[/link] Good Luck with it, and Welcome to FishProfiles.. |

It arrived on my live rock. |

I have several myself, came with liverock, and they are considered a "pest anemone" as well.. I kept mine because I think that they are pretty, but they have the same ability to sting other corals that the aiptasia have.. They can also multiply, not as quickly as aiptasia, but under the right circumstances they'll definately prosper.. |

And Aiptasia is usually more common so I didn't think it'd be Majano. Rats. Well I'm glad you figured it out, and hopefully it's under control now, because you don't want any of those guys hurtin' anybody else.
